HELLO!

I’m Mark! I am a licensed clinical social worker, originally from Philadelphia. I earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from University of Rochester with a minor in theater and a Master’s in Social Work from Fordham University in New York City. I am licensed to practice in both Colorado and Utah.

I build on more than a decade of prior experience working with children, adolescents, and families. I have worked in residential and wilderness therapy settings as well as in transitional care programming to help support adolescents and young adults transitioning back home from out-of-home placement. Most recently, I worked at Open Sky Wilderness Therapy where I utilized the healing power of nature to foster growth, healing, and connection within families.

I approach my client's with deep care and empathy, informed by a holistic understanding that treatment is a continuum and the journey for individuals and their families can often feel long and painful. Compassion and authenticity are my cornerstone values, as I believe growth requires both discomfort and hope. My goal is to help my clients create real lasting change for themselves. This involves supporting and challenging them to identify and explore their own emotional and behavioral patterns that are keeping them stuck in life as they also cultivate the personal accountability and self-compassion necessary to turn insight into action.

In my free time, I can usually be found either on my bike or on foot exploring the natural wonders that Colorado has to offer, often with my faithful canine sidekick, “Dos”.
